le, you can avoid this step by using a sturdy fabric to begin with, like canvas. I also outlined it with brown fabric and added two red buttons at the pockets. After trimming the sides, it was still too wide and long for me, but I'm just freakishly small. Again, I blame my family. Overall it was a quick and easy project that Martha would be proud of.
